The Deoxyribonucleic acid is known as DNA in short. These are found in the nucleus of a cell. The DNA stores genetic information in it in form of a code made up f four chemicals. An important property of the DNA is that it can replicate. Besides being present in the nucleus of a cell, its also present in mitochondria and plastids but in small amounts.
