What is the function of
a-cellulose in cell wall
b-presence of deeply foided membrane in mitochondria
C-digestive enzymes in lysosomes
Answers
Answer:
a, A cell wall is a structural layer surrounding some type of cell ,just outside cell membrane. It can be tough, flexible, and sometime rigid. It provide the cell with both structural support and protection.
Explanation:
a)A major role of the cell wall is to form a framework for the cell to prevent over expansion. Cellulose fibers, structural proteins, and other polysaccharides help to maintain the shape and form of the cell. Additional functions of the cell wall include: Support: The cell wall provides mechanical strength and support.
b)The Powerhouse of our cell known as Mitochondria(S.Mitochondrion) has outer membrane and inner membrane. The inner membrane known as the Cristae is folded.
The folds of the inner membrane or the Cristae provide an increase in the Surface Area which gives the Mitochondrion more locations for ATP( the energy currency) production to occur. In fact, without them the mitochondrion would not be able to keep up with the cell’s ATP needs.
c)The role of digestive enzymes in lysosomes:
The digestive lysosomes is to clean the debris that is present in the cell, they also play a major role in the immune system activity of the cell in which they help to digest the pathogens that enter the cell.
The lysosomes also play a vital role in apoptosis, programmed cell death to recycle the apoptotic bodies that are formed in a cell. The lysosomes contain digestive enzymes and has an acidic pH to help in all these activities.
