What is the function of aorta and vena cava

Aorta is "away" while Vena Cava is return.

That means that one is an artery the other a vein. The Aorta is under high pressure the Vena Cava under lower pressure

The Aorta exits the heart from the left ventricle the VC come back to the heart into the right atrium

Remember "A" is Away and Artery and Aorta  

"V" is Vena Cava and Vein

The inferior vena cava is a vein. It carries deoxygenated blood from the lower half of the body to the right atrium of the heart. 

Aorta is the main artery of the body while the two main veins of the body are superior and inferior vena cava.
