Function of different cell organelles :-

  • >> Cell membrane :- thisthis is outermost covering of cell that separate the content of cell from its external environment.

  • >> cell wall :- it provides structural strength to the plants cell. it gives definite shape to the cell . cell wall protect cells against pathogens and mechanical injury .

  • >> Nucleus :- nucleus control all metabolic activities of cell . It regulate the cell cycle . is concerned with the transmission of hereditary traits from parents to offspring

  • >> Chromosomes :- chromosomes contain hereditary information form of genes chromosome composed of DNA and proteins .

  • >> Endoplasmic reticulum :- it gives mechanical support by forming a network in cytoplasm . certaincertain enzymes present in smooth endoplasmic reticulum synthesise fats and cholesterol . rough endoplasmic reticulum is concerned with the transport of protein which are synthesized by ribosomes on their surface .

  • >> Golgi apparatus :- storage modification and packaging of products in vessels is the main function of Golgi apparatus . formation of complex sugar from simple sugar . golgi apparatus returns is also involved in formation of lysosomes .

  • >> Lysosomes :- lysosomelysosome destroy any foreign materials which enter the cells such as bacteria and viruses protect the cell from infection . they help in removing that worn-out cells from organelle .

  • >> mitochondria :- mitochondria at the site of cellular respiration . they provide energy in form of ATP for vital activities of living cell . mitochondria are able to make some of their own proteins so they are regarded as simultaneous organelle .

  • >> Plastid :- leucoplast store material such as starch , oil and protein . chromoplast impart colour to flower and fruits so they help in pollination and fruit dispersal . chloroplast rap solar energy to manufacture food through photosynthesis .

  • >> Vacoules :- vacuoles play important role in expelling excess water and some waste from cell in some unicellular organism . distort toxic metabolic by products and products of plant .
