Function of Diaphragm : ''Diaphragm is a primary muscle used in the process of inhalation. It is a dome shaped sheet of a muscle that is inserted into lower ribs.

Diaphragm separates the thoracic cavity, containing the heart and lungs from the abdominal cavity and performs an important function in the respiration as the diaphragm contracts the volume of thoracic cavity increases and air is drawn into the lungs.
