Function of digestive enzymes is to digest or to break the complex molecules into simpler substances Ex - trypsin is a digestive enzymes that helps in digestion of proteins.

digestive enzymes are of different types that's why it has different functions- saliva secretes salivary amplase helps to convert the starch into sugar

gastric gland -

which is present in the walls of the stomach helps to secret HCL which kills bacteria present in the present in the food and it also facilities action of the enzyme pepsin an mucus which is present inside the walls of the stomach helps to protect the stomach from the action of the Hcl.

trpsin which is present in pancreas helps to digest protein and lipase helps to digest emulsified fats .

small intestine secretes small intestinal juice which secretes end product of protein -amino acid ,carbohydrates -starch, and fats glycerol and fatty acid .
