The role of the eardrum, also called as the tympanic membrane, is always to take sound waves to bone fragments which have been found in the middle ear. All these bone tissues are referred to ossicles.

■The eardrum is a thin flap of skin that is stretched tight like a drum and vibrates when sound hits it.

These vibrations move the tiny bones of the middle ear, which send vibrations to the inner ear.

●in simple it just vibrate sound and send it to inner ear
