what is the function of iris and the muscle connected to the lens in human eye please

Iris gives color to the eye.
It's main function is to control the amount of light entering the eye.

Ciliary Muscles {Connected to eye lens} contract and relax to change the focal length of eye lens... This allows us to see nearby and far off objects... Thus is called the power of accommodation of human eye......

hi mate...
Iris can expand or contract to control the amount of light entering the eye...the muscles around the eyes is known as ciliary muscles....this helps in holding the lens in place and it has an important role in our vision toooo.........
