Firstly meristem is responsible for the growth of plants. It is of three types:-
- Apical

Answer:

Plants grow in the same manner. The tip of the plant shoots and roots contain tissue known as meristem. It contains small and tightly packed cells whose only job is to divide and divide. This helps in the increasing the lenth of the plant.

There are two types of stem: Lateral meristem, intercalary and apical meristem.

The apical meristem helps in the growth of the plant apically. They are present at the tips of the plant.

The lateral meristem functions by making the plant grow laterally. It is found in woody plants that helps the plant to broaden.
