Functions of Nephron

The primary function of nephron is removing all waste products including the solid wastes, and other excess water from the blood, converting blood into the urine, reabsorption, secretion, and excretion of numerous substances.

A nephron is the basic structural and functional unit of the kidney.

Its main function is to regulate water and soluble substances by filtering the blood, reabsorbing water and excreting the rest as urine.

Nephrons eliminate wastes from the

body, regulate blood volume and

pressure, control levels of electrolytes

and metabolites, and regulate blood pH.

Hope it helps
