nucleus is the largest cellular organnel in mammals.In mammalian cells the average diameter of nucleus is 5 micrometer which occupy about 10 percent of total cellular volume

Function of nucleus

1) it mediates the replication of Dna during the cell cycle.

2) it is called cells brain

3) it helps in genes transcription.
