Answer:

Turgidity

This is due to turgor pressure, which is as a result of increased influx of water into the cell's vacuole. The more the influx of water, the more the outward pressure against the cell wall. This makes the plant cell to be turgid (exerts pressure outwardly).

Rigidity

This is the result of turgidity. Rigidity is the inability of the plant cell walls to bend. The increased pressure due to turgidity makes this happen. The otherwise bendable cell walls become unbendable. Therefore turgid plants are rigid hence do not bend.

Rigidity refers to the stiffness of a material that allows it to resist bending. The material might eventually break but it will not bend.

turgidity means the swollen state which is caused due to the osmotic flow of water from area of low solute concentration outside of the cell into cell's vacuole which has a higher solute concentration.
