When the Male gametes (inside the pollen grains) reach the stigma through pollination by any agent, it's starts germinating on the stigma. They absorb moisture and sugar content from the stigma to swell up. Then, the inline of the pollen grains grows out through any engine and form a tube called .
After the pollen tube comes out of the stigma into the style, the first nucleus enters followed by the second one. The first nucleus controls the growth of the pollen tube and hence known as Vegetative nucleus. The second one is the Generative nucleus.
After the ovule inside the ovary of the female part, gets mature, the pollen tube enters the ovary. After that because of some chemotrophic movements, they grow towards the egg/ovule apparatus. After that, when the pollen tube reaches the embryo sac, the tip burst to release Male gametes which will fuse with female gametes to form zygote.
