what is the function of stomata?

stomata helps in exchange of air and transpiration. the excessive water is evaporated through the stomata.

Stomata are the tiny pores present in leaves,which help in exchange of gases thus helping in photosynthesis.During photosynthesis,carbon dioxide is taken from the atmosphere and oxygen is released as a waste product.
