Saliva is mainly produced by three pairs of salivary glands. These are:

=> \sf{\underline{Parotids}}

=> \sf{\underline{Sub-mandibular}}

=> \sf{\underline{Sub-linguals}}

\text{\underline{(i)\:Parotids:}}

Found near cheek and these are the largest salivary glands (opens through Stenson's duct).

\text{\underline{(ii)\:Sub-mandibular:}}

Found at lower jaw (opens through Wharton duct).

\text{\underline{(iii)\:Sub-linguals:}}

Found below tongue and these are the smallest salivary glands (opens through Rivinus duct).

\text{\underline{NOTE:}}

These glands situated just outside the buccal cavity and they secrete salivary juice into the buccal cavity.
