what is the gain per cent if 25 packs of biscuits bought at 4•5 each are sold for 132•75

here is ur answer....


gain %

 =  \frac{gain}{cp}  \times 100

gain = SP - CP

SP will be

132.75 as shown.

CP would be

25*4.5

as 25 packs and 4.5 rupees for each pack.

= 112.45

profit would be = 132.75 - 112.45

= 20.3

CP = 112.45

gain %

 \frac{20.3}{112.45}  \times 100

 \frac{2030}{112.45}

= 18.05 %
