What is the gravitational force between the earth and a body called? in which direction does it occur?

it is known as gravitational force and gravitational force is known as centripedal force we call them that as it is a gravitational force between the earth and body I have no doubt it is known as gravity or weight. weight is also known as the gravity of force

1.the gravitational force between the earth and a body is called the FORCE OF GRAVITY.

2.the direction of gravitational force is in downward direction.

when G is in the downward direction then it is positive (9.8m/s^2)

when G is in upward direction then it is opposite so it s -9.8m/s^2
