To find : HCF of 3,8 and 10 .

Solution :

  • HCF is the highest common factor also called as greatest common divisor ,( GCD ).
  • To find HCF of  3,8 and 10 ,we find factors of these numbers .
  • Factors are:

         Factors of  3 = 1, 3

         Factors of 8 = 1, 2, 4, 8

         Factors of 10 = 1, 2, 5,10

Hence , HCF of  3,8 and 10 is 1.

Given: The numbers are 3,8, and 10

We have to find the HCF of the above numbers.

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

The numbers are 3,8, and 10

=>\text { Factors of } 3=1,3\\=>\text { Factors of } 8=1,2,4,8\\=>\text { Factors of } 10=1,2,5,10

As we know that the greatest common divisor of two or more integers, which are not all zero, is the largest positive integer that divides each of the integers.

From the above, we can say that the  HCF of the above numbers is1.

Hence, the HCF of the above numbers will be1.
