ANSWER :

To Find : The height of T

Assumption : Let the height of the cat be 'x' and the height of tortoise be 'y'.

Equation :

Image 1 :

Cat + T - Tortoise = 170 cm

x + T - y = 170 cm ..Eq 1

Image 2 :

Tortoise + T - Cat = 130 cm

y + T - x = 130 cm .. Eq 2

Adding equation 1 and 2 :

(x + T - y) + (y + T - x) = 170 + 130 cm

x + T - y + y + T - x = 300 cm

x - x + y - y + T + T = 300 cm

2T = 300 cm

T = 300/2 cm

T = 150 cm

Final Answer : The hieght of 'T ' is 150 cm
