what is the highest and the lowest total resistance which can be obtained by combining 8 resistors of 4 ohm each

heighest can be achieved when they are connected in series-

Rs= R1+R2+_ _+ Rn

therefore it is 4+4+4+4+4+4+4+4=4*8=32ohm.

lowest when the are connected in parallel

1/RP = 1/R1+1/R2+....+1/Rn

therefor it is= 1/4 multiplied by 8=8/4 = 1/2=0.5ohm
