Before islam, there was jahaliyah all around. Drinking alcohol and all forbidden activities were practiced. Human rights were invaded. Newborn girls were buried alive. Only the rich were respected while the poor were treated even worst than animals.
After the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PEACE BE UPON HIM), the light of Islam enlightened the entire darkness. Islam established equal rights of every human (not only Muslims but also non muslims, both had equal social rights)..Islam eradicated all distinction on the basis of caste , colour, creed .On the last pilgrimage of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), he said:
"Neither an Arab has any superiority over a non Arab ,nor a non arab has any superiority over Arab ,Also the White has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except on the basis of taqwa (fear of Allah)"
