THE IMPORTANCE OF CLASSIFICATION-

1). It helps is to study the organisms more easily and systematically.

2). The study of all the organisms is an impossible tasks.Therefore, we study a few representatives from each taxonomic group to get an idea for all life forms present in it.

3). The interrelationship among different ngroups of organisms is also revealed by classification.

4). The basic requirement of various branches of biological sciences is the correct identification and placement of an organism in a definite and correct taxonomic group.Thus , a base is provided by the classification for the development of other biological sciences.

5).In various fields of Applied BIOLOGY(such as Agriculture, Horticulture,Publoc health and Environmental Biology,etc.),studies related with the identification, nomenclature and classification is necessary.

6). Classification also helps in studying the process of evolution from simple to complex organisms.
