Genetic variation is a term used to describe the variation in the DNA sequence in each of our genomes. This is basically important for species to develop certain and specific characteristics or looks. These traits are passed from the parents to the offspring. These traits allow them to get immunity or protection. It also helps in making and forming new characteristics which are sometimes or seldom different from the parents and other generations of the family. To pass these traits DNA which stands for Deoxyribonucleic Acid which is a self replicating material present in nearly every organism on Earth these have small thread like structures called chromosomes to pass these features from the parents to the further generations.
