hala mate,

Green revolution refers to improved agricultural production and productivity through application of improved agri-inputs and appropriate technologies. The term revolution is to indicate the shift or transformation of traditional farming for household consumption into production for market. The main purpose of transforming the agriculture production system is in order to produce enough food and raw materials to meet the ever increasing demand in terms of quantity and quality.

To this end, a concerted effort and synergy among the agricultural research, extension and the producers will have vital contribution to improve production as well as productivity. Determinate variables for improvement of production and productivity are developing irrigation schemes (both small and large  scale), improving seed/bred, supply of fertilizer and pesticides, introducing of best agronomic practices, appropriate farm technologies and machineries, post harvest handling, agro-processing plants, infrastructure development, natural resource management and so on. Besides, access to sustainable finance and market are also the most important factors to realize green revolution.

Therefore, green revolution needs proper coordination and management of resources, knowledge and labour for optimum production and productivity.

hope it helps..
