An observation is a single, unadjusted determination of a linear or angular value.

A measurement is the entire process of obtaining a desired quantity. A measurement entails performing a physical operation.

Everyone can make an 'observation'. It requires a surveyor to make a 'measurement.'

Measurements are considered as surveys so it is really very important to be responsible and self esteem in acquiring accurate and precise measurements.

One can easily make a case for a blunder to be considered an error. However, a blunder is really an unpredictable gross mistake made by the surveying team. It is not a hidden error that will go unnoticed, but usually it becomes apparent that something is wrong with the measurements. So responsibility is important.

Along with responsibility, you should also have confidence and self esteem so that you can become a good surveyor.

Hope it helps!
