The disturbance caused in the internal structure of the earth.

Due to which the earthquake originates form that point.

The point below the earth surface from where the quake is started is known as EPICENTER.

The intensity of the earthquake is measured in Richer scale by seismograph.

The quake with intensity more than 4 are strong.

By using this device it is predicted either the quake will be strong or weak..

So it is used to save lives..

The importance of seismograph also called a seismometer which is an instrument that measures and records seismic waves that move through the earth as the result of an earthquake .
