The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is the principal judicial organ of the UN.

The court had two functions-:
• It settled according to the international laws, the legal disputes given or submitted by the states.

• It should give good and useful advises, so that it can be taken in count.

It sits on peace place with other institutions which concerned as per international laws.

I think it should be helpful for you, I don't really known about this but I try to convert Google answer into simply language.
