Women in  free  India are  marching  ahead in  the field of  education and  professional training. More  and  more  girl's are  getting  all kinds  of education. No distinction is made now in respect of the education boys  and girls. No fields of education or  training are  prohibited for  them. They are  being trained for medicine, for  engineering, for  technology, for commerce and  industry for  banking  and  all other fields.

Importance of Women's Education:- W.R. Wallace  said, '' The hand that  rocks  the  cradle is hand that  rules  the world.'' To educate women is  must  fro the progress  of our  country. If  India is a cart  , women  are  second  wheel of  this cart. Thus women play  very important part in our lives. If they are  not  properly educated, our  country can't progress. So Napolian has  said clearly,

''Give  us good  women , we  shall have  a great civilization.

Give  us good  mothers, we  shall have  a great nation.''

President  of  America Lincoln has  said, ''I am what my  mother  made me''

Such is  the  importance of women's education.

Careers for  educated  women:- Women are  no longer limited to four-walls of their houses as they are  used  in the  past. Today in  free  India, all the  fields are  open fro women  to  work. They can  choose  their  career of their own choice. Women have been very good  teachers as they are  gifted with a natural understanding of child and  youth psychology. They have  proved themselves not only  as  teachers, doctors, nurses , scientists and bureaucrats but  also in tough jobs  like in Indian Army and  Air  force. Women now are working shoulder to shoulder with men in every walk of  life.

Conclusion:- Education for  women is the need  of the hour. Educated mothers give the  nation good citizens. An educated woman choose any  career of her choice. Now  they are  taking their due place in  the society.
