Decentralization is the taking away of powers of central and state and giving it to local govt.
1. the basic idea behind it is that there are large no. of problems and issues which are best settled at local level. people have better knowledge of problems in their locality. they also know how to spend money and how to manage things.
2. at local level is possible for people to directly participate in decision making.

also it minimises the conflict because of these features

1.Decentralization is important inorder to make the administration efficient.
2.It is not possible for the union government to manage the affairs of the entire country on its own.
3.Some level of distribution of power is essential to handle the affairs of the huge and diverse population.
4.Thus decentralization in every aspect tries to decrease conflict as every state and locality gets representation and authority and also they can keep their view point well in the local matters.
