Voter Card :

Voter Card is a card that helps us to register in order to vote. Indian Voter ID is an Identity document which is issued by the Election commission of India. It is Issued for the persons who have reached the age of 18.  

Information given on the Voter ID -

1) Voter's Full Name

2) Voter's Father's Name

3) Voter's Date of Birth

4) Voter's Permanent Address

5) Signature of an Electoral  Officer

6) Photo of the Voter.


Purposes of Voter ID-

It helps  as an identity proof for Indian citizens.

It also helps us to travel to other countries.

It is an acknowledgement that voter is registered to vote.

It also helps us as general identity age proof, address proof and for other purposes like applying for a passport or buying a sim card for mobile phone

It is also known Electoral Photo ID Card (EPIC).
