Trust is something urged over time and it is utterly foolish to trust a stranger. One should have confidence on his or her abilities. The same happened in the poem the frog and the nightingale. The frog whose cacophony was hated by all the creatures of Bingle bog was teaching singing to the nightingale who had a mesmerising voice. Righty said a poor self esteem can destroy everything.

The irony of the poem 'The Frog and the Nightingale' written by Vikram seth lies in the frog .Earlier when nightingale told the frog that the song was her's but at the end of story ,when the nightingale dies because of bursting a vein, the frog says that your song should be of your own.
