Only single carbon bonds: -ane
Side chains: two methyl group on carbon 2 and one on number 4: 2,2,4-trimethyl-
So name is 2,2,4-trimethylpentane

but how? 2,2,4-trimethylpentane has only 8 carbons where as there are 9 carbons in the asked formula.
