After the end of the second world war ended with the fall of Ottaman Turks there were rumors spread on the harsh treaty on the Khalifa.

For that people in India (Muslim Community) formed the Khilafat Agitation.

Gandhi supported this movement as he thought it was a way to unify the India by making the Muslims and Hindus toghether in the same stand of the umbrella.
