The Koyna dam conflict has been one of the focal points of conflict as far as all the state and central governments are concerned.

It is a huge capacity of reservoir which is built on the river Krishna, and the building of the dam has polluted the soil and associated environment, it has taken away jobs from people, and there has also been a conflict regarding the sharing of the water from this dam.
