The moon of planet Jupiter, named Ganymede which is derived from a prince in Greek mythology. The diameter of this moon is 5,262 km. This moon is bigger in size of planet mercury. It's discovery was made by a Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei on 7 Jan, 1610.
The planet takes 7.1 days to complete one orbit which is at 10,700,400 km away from planet Jupiter.
