What is the length of of the diagonal of lenth 10 cm and breadth 24 cm?

Let ABCD be a rectangle in which,

AB = Length

BC = Breadth

AC = Diagonal

As we know that the each angle of the rectangle is of 90°. Therefore, in right angld triangle at B we have -

AB = Base {10 cm }

BC = Perpendicular {24 cm}

∠ABC = 90°

AC = Hypotenuse

Using Pythagoras Theorem in ∆ABC.

★ H² = P² + B² ★

⟹ AC² = BC² + AB²

⟹ AC² = 24² + 10²

⟹ AC² = 576 + 100

⟹ AC² = 676

⟹ AC = √676

⟹ AC = 26

Hence, the measure of diagonal of rectangle is 26 cm.
