Although our country is a completely democratic country,but still there are many divisions among our country's population.
This divisions are mainly based on the following things:
1) Religions: There are many religions present in our country,and our population is divided according to their seperate religious beliefs.
2) Caste: Our national population is also divided in the basis of caste system.Even our government initiates different agendas for the backward caste population in our country.
3) Linguistic: Almost 22 languages are spoken in our country's different regions, and our society is also divided according to this linguistic preferences.
The newly developed Telengana state was also formed due to the linguistic preferences.
4) Economic: Our population is also divided according to the financial status.
The main divisions are,rich,middle class,poor.
Culture and other politics are also major reasons behind the social divisions.
