The main causes of partition of Bengal:
Partition of Bengal took place under the rule of Lord Curzon. He decided on the partition for the following reasons;-
- Better Management
- Better communication
- The need for the situation
- Restore efficiency in the government.
Explanation:
The British believed that by making partitions in Bengal they would be able to manage the province better. There could be better communication with the management of la and order. They wanted to promote the Port of Chittagong for developing trade.
