What is the main characteristic of the last elements in the period of periodic table? What is the general name of such elements?

The last elements of every period correspond to group 18 which is the group of inert or noble gases. All these gases have a fully filled valence shell and thus they are typically unreactive.

The last group of the periodic table is group 0 or 18 group (noble gases) and the characteristics of them are : 1: there electronic arrangement is very stable. 2: all are colourless tasteless odourless gas. they are neither inflamable nor supporter of combustion. 3 : they are monatomic because their electronic configuration is stable. 4: noble gases are liquefied with great difficulty. 5:gases are slightly soluble in water .6:these gases emit colour light when an electrical discharge is passed through them .7:their melting and boiling points are extremely low
