What is the main criterion used by the world bank in classifying different countries what are limitations of this criterion if any

World Bank Classifies different countries based on the income.

Limitations

* If the population more then the country would earn more.

Eg: India has more population than Japan, But Japan is more developed then India though the population is less.

*It does not show the distribution of money.

*It does not show the literacy rates, infantmorality rates ,BMI etc...
