Voluntary muscles are also known as striped, striated or skeletal muscles, whereas Involuntary muscles are also known as unstriped, non-striated, plain muscles. Voluntary muscles are long, cylindrical and unbranched, while Involuntary muscles are small and spindle-shaped.
