The pons contain nuclei that relay signals from the forebrain to the cerebellum along with the nuclei that deal primarily with nuclei that deal sleep ,respiration, bladder control swallowing, equilibrium and eye movement etc...

Pons sends signal from forebrain to cerebellum . Their function is to control sleep, respiration, eye movement, facial expression etc.
