Post-independence, Bihar was one of the most industrialized states and the state government was pushing for setting up of industries across the state. The first chief minister of Bihar ,Shri Krishna Sinha , was a visionary. In his regime of 15 years , he ensured the setting up of sugarcane factories , fertilizer factory thermal power plant,HEC etc.
