The birsa revolt was started by a tribe named Mundas who beloged to chotanagpur. They started a revolt against the east india company so as to stop the exploitation of tribal groups under the british government . The major objective of the east india company was to exploit the resources of india. For fullfilling that objective the east india company started torturing the tribal groups so as to earn profit . To be a Barrier in the well planned arrangement of the britishers was the main objective of birds movement.
