Answer:

Greenhouse gases are gases in Earth’s atmosphere that trap heat. They let sunlight pass through the atmosphere, but they prevent the heat that the sunlight brings from leaving the atmosphere. basically once the heat gets in it cannot get out. The main greenhouse gases are:

Water vapor

Carbon dioxide

Methane

Ozone

Nitrous oxide

Chlorofluorocarbons

these all are very harmful if present in large quantity, since these can increase the earth's temperature and bring global warming. so, we must decrease the emissions to protect environment

hope this helps, request you to mark as brainliest if it did.

1. their purpose is that they trap the ultraviolet rays coming from the sun

2.we already know that the ultraviolet rays of sun are very harmful for us and increases our earth's temperature that causes global warming

the ultraviolet rays come and get reflected from the earth but the greenhouse gases like CFC's and CO2 traps them and do not led them to exit the earth's atmosphere by reflection and when they are not able to go out of our atmosphere they harm our earth's environment as much as they can as a result we can see global warming and simultaneous rise in temperature

that's how greenhouse gases damages our earth's environment
