In general, the chief source of water on Earth is considered as River water. About 97% of water on Earth is Saline in nature, 3% is fresh water. Out of 3% 69% is in the form of Glaciers and Ice caps; 30% is ground water and only 1% is surface source which includes rivers, streams etc.
