What is the main structural and functional difference between granular and granular endoplasmic reticulum?

Granular er contains ribosomes on its surface

And agranular er (endoplasmic reticulum ) do not contain ribosomes

Granular endoplasmic reticulum has ribosomes attached to their surface and produces protein whereas agranulated endoplasmic reticulum does not have ribosomes and their function is lipid synthesis
