In india 3 major  source of irrigation  first is the tube well and wells  2nd  is the canals and third consider of tank supply.   1. Wells or tube wells are also diffrent type its deppend on the type of area  like as shallow well deep wells tube wells its consuderd dor the dry months bcz in the dry mothe water flowe is down that deep well is mor sufficient for cultivation. .same like tune wells  tube wells  used by electricity and its  situated  near the agricultur area.

Canals   . Canals is the also most usefull source in india its  connected  to the river dam when is the rainy season  its  flood water from the dam and river for the agricultur  land . In india 42 % of the area is  total irrigation land. In the dry season its no usase when the water  needed mostly...

Tanks .. tanks are also  constructed for storage  water in the rainy season dams ponds laks and tanks full fill the wayer and after that  farmer use it  in the agricultur  fields. Its water flooded by drainage  pipe or open source garvite and its aRtifical also made by human near the agricultur land and for some  agriculral land  near to any tubewells or wells ...for storage water..
