Aerodynamic Stability is the ability of aircraft to correct the path if conditions goes against it. for example turbulence.
There are two types of stability
1) Static : initial tendency of aircraft
2) Dynamic : tendency over the time
which can be sub categorized as
1) Positive stability (Stable) : tendency to come back to it's original path.
2) Neutral stability : tendency to remain on the deviated path
3) Negative stability (Unstable) : tendency to move further away from the path.
Following graph explains all three cases.
