A biodegradable waste is a waste which can be decomposed by the actions of enzymes secreted by the bacteria. For example- kitchen waste consisting of vegetables and fruits are biodegradable. Polythene is non biodegradable. It will remain as it is if buried and excavated after 10000 year. But biodegradable waste will disappear (decomposed) in a day or two.
